As an avid volunteer, Myka serves as a member of Junior Achievement of SE Michigan’s Rising Achiever’s Advisory Board and operates as a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum.

In her spare time, Myka enjoys hanging out with her son Michael, reading, writing, traveling, checking out new restaurants, and frequenting museums. Myka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from University of Michigan.

Her personal mission in life is to serve the youth of inner city communities through education and entrepreneurship. As an entrepreneur, Myka is the Co-Owner of The Genius Lab, a children’s science and exploratory learning workshop-based business that was started by her son, Michael. As a professional, Myka aides in the development and 

implementation of tech-based entrepreneurial programs as the Program Coordinator of TechTown Detroit.
